She previously practiced at Holloman Air Force Base before joining CHRISTUS Health. Jana is providing family medicine care for acute and chronic illness as well as women’s health procedures. Jana has been a nurse since 1995 with experience in intensive care, labor and delivery and women’s health. She is currently accepting new patients.

Jana McBurney is an accomplished nurse practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Michigan State University and then earned her Master of Science degree at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, graduating in the top 1% of her class. She holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Jana is a native of New Mexico, originally from Roswell and wants to raise her young daughter in Alamogordo. She is looking forward to caring for her previous military patients and establishing her practice with CHRISTUS Health.
