CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico Cardiology is proud to introduce you to our modern heart center, where an experienced team of cardiologists and a friendly, caring staff have the advanced training and state-of-the-art technology necessary to perform a host of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. We offer an ideal combination of location and expertise that makes us the smart alternative to an out-of-town facility, and as we continue to raise the level of cardiac care in this area, even more hearts will be finding the strength they need, close to home.
Our cardiology provides cardiac scoring (heart scans), stress tests, echocardiograms, and Holter monitoring or event monitoring for up to thirty days. There is a Coumadin clinic on site and regular pacemaker clinics.
Heart and vascular conditions treated include:
- Adult congenital heart disease
- Aortic disease
- Arrhythmias
- Congenital heart defects
- Coronary heart disease
- Heart attack (myocardial infarction)
- Heart failure
- Heart valve diseases
- High blood pressure
Procedures include diagnostic catheterization, IVUS intravascular ultrasound, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), stents, angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and several other cardiac and peripheral procedures. A customized plan of care is developed for each patient as each patient’s needs are unique. We carefully review each procedure with patients and their caregivers for thorough understanding from prep through recovery. Cardiac rehabilitation is also available for intervention cases.

Advanced Care Is Just A Heartbeat Away. Our fully equipped and state-of-the-art cardiac cath lab offers diagnostic and interventional treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular diseases. Sharper images are taken by our Phillips Allura Xper FD20 digital imaging system. This advanced technology permits physicians to provide better diagnoses with lower radiation exposure.
