Our Mission:
The mission of the CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program is to train family physicians to provide evidence based, compassionate care to the people of Otero County and the surrounding communities.
To That End, We Pledge the Following:
People first: Our overarching goal is to remember that we serve individuals and families that have unique needs and goals for their health. Each person has intrinsic value and we will remain cognizant of this as we provide care at each and every encounter. We will treat our patients and colleagues as we would want ourselves or our family members to be treated.
Quality over quantity: While it is important to remain productive, our focus will always be to give the highest quality care based on sound evidence. We will maintain our knowledge base through regular participation in learning activities that enhance our ability to provide relevant, state of the art care to our patients and their families while doing our part to control costs.
Leadership: In addition to being excellent clinicians, we will seek opportunities for leadership within GCRMC and our community. We will be the trailblazers not only in medicine but in every arena of influence in which we choose to participate.
Committed to Wellness: We will strive to seek balance in our lives by attending to our own physical, professional, financial, social, emotional, and spiritual wellness. By caring well for ourselves and those most important to us, we, in turn, will provide better care to the people we serve and role-model these behaviors to our colleagues and patients.
